There are two levels of activations that can be ordered on the 4200. The 4200 offers the ability to run core Precision Ag features like AutoTrac™ guidance, Documentation, Section Control, and Data Sync. When this is the case, the 4200 CommandCenter™ is just the tool for the job. That’s not light, but it’s certainly better than a typical triple-monitor PC setup.Sometimes a job on the farm does not require intense Precision Ag management practices.
With all of the hardware inside, it weighs 14.5 pounds. That package is a locking briefcase that measures 16.5 x 9 x 4.5 inches. D Myster’s “command center” integrates all three monitors and the computer hardware itself into one relatively compact package. To take advantage of that, you’d have to setup a monitor somewhere with a power source. But most laptops only have, at most, a single HDMI output port. It’s easy enough to connect multiple monitors to a desktop computer by simply adding a graphics card that has multiple video output ports.
D Myster was able to fit three entire monitors into their portable command center for productivity on the go. Shortcuts and macros can certainly help a lot, as can using multiple monitors so that you can see all of your work at once without having to switch between windows. There are many ways to increase your productivity, and many of those are about streamlining how you use your computer. But that doesn’t necessarily mean working long hours - it’s far more efficient to simply make the most of the hours you do spend working.
